However, if two games have relatively equal merits, I'll take the hybrid CD first every time. I keepy my Myth II and Starcraft CDs in my pack so I can play them at home on my Mac or at work on PCs. Very few port-only companies do this kind of thing... For example, I think all of Aspyr's are not dual platform. Bungie was the master of this: the Myth series was designed to be cross platform... While not as well done, Starcraft seemed to be designed to make the port easier (although it took a year, the reason I give Bungie the crown for this)...
Ports aren;t necessarily bad, but they are almost always a step below a game designed for a single platform.
