In Response To: Re: Halo 2 Limited Edition Booklet (Slith) : Actually, I have reason to believe she's from the Pelican that John helped : rescue after Halo 04 was destroyed. (Halo:The Flood? Or Halo:First : Strike?) possible but unlikely, she states that she has just heard of his exploits on halo however MC recounted the entire story of what had happened at minimum twice in front of all the survivors of halo 04, she also refers to him as John and 117 but in a friendly way not an official report way and as we know from assorted statments sprinkled throughout the books only a select few high ranking ONI people and some UNSC personel even know the spartan's numbers much less their name and no one with the exeption of another spartan or Dr. Halsey herself would speak to MC in such a way as "...We miss you John". There are 3 possible solutions to who this "Cassandra" is 1)A high ranker who adresses MC by his name as a quirk that she does to be purposley annoying(once again possible but not likley) 2)A girl friend of the MC, possibly saved from one of the planets on a ground op of his.(Even more unlikley, would not know about project mjoilner or the events at halo plus we have been with MC through out the entire course of his life and have seen nor heard no mention of such a woman, in additon MC would most likley view such a relationship as pointless at least durring any time where it could have formed) 3)A spartan who was wounded in action(ding ding) would have requested and recieved all reports on her fellow spartans and would know MC on a personal basis, the "We" that she refers to is most likey other horribly wounded Spartans. "Skinned" could refer to either being able to wear her armor again(not very likley given that such a thing would have to be made and transported to the rehab station which would not be the highest priority for a spartan that is not even able to fight with or without the suit) or the regaining of her skin which would seem likley given the nature of Covie plasma weapons once again feel free to disagree
