In Response To: Halo 2 Limited Edition Booklet (Slith) : There's a lot of good stuff in there. We need more discussion on the forum
: For instance, it would appear that 343 Guilty Spark was found by the covenant
: There's even a record of a firefight between 3 covenant ships - and an
: Someone called Cassandra writes a letter to John 117 (Master Cheif) about her
: The Prophet of Truth writes a letter to the Prophet of Supposition. : These are some fantastic parts of the Halo story that shouldn't be ignored.
What I found most interesting is this bit about the Flood and the Covenant from 343GS: "Most of these interlopers appear to contain ample calcium stores" which would seem to imply that the Flood need calcium from their hosts - i.e. bones, teeth, etc. Now, from the normal manual - which for ages I didn't realise was different from the LE edition :) - it is said of the Hunters/Lekgolo: "These massive creatures appear to be composed of multiple organisms that exists within the Hunter armor, creating a bipedal hive creature." So, it can probably be deduced that because we've never seen infected Hunters, it is likely that they don't have enough Calcium, which may mean that they have little or no skeleton, arising from their hive creature nature. Ciarán.
