In Response To: Gravemind's final Riddle ****Spoilers***** (GryphonOsiris) We've got a lot of comedians on today. : He might recognize one of the species and can't understand why they have such : seemingly primative equipment and do not know the true purpose of Halo and : the Flood. Now we all are pretty sure that the Covies weapons are bad : knock offs of the Forerunner weapons, as we have seen with the Sentinel's : beam cannons. Those he would have some recognition of, though it would be : like comparing a Matchlock to a P-90. The human projectile weapons would : be troubling as the forerunners had moved past metal slug weapons long : before they met the Flood. This is all heading towards him recognizing : humans, and maybe even more so, Master Chief's armor as being the : Forerunners.(Side note, obviously Forerunner's didn't call themselves : that, as it implies that they knew they came first, that they would fall, : and that others would follow them). Hmm - you're assuming humans are Forerunners, which not all of us do. Humans may be Reclaimers, and THAT is what Gravemind recognises. Do not assume young grasshopper! : Just a Rampant thought on a three verse musing of the greatest threat to life : since plaid polyester pants. I dunno, Stuntmutt's puns are pretty bad too. Nice speculation, and I'm particularly worried about Gravemind in possession of that slip space drive, unpowered or not. Why doesn't Cortana blow the reactors already!? I think we might have more to worry about in Halo 3 (note - I am in no way endorsing the opinion that there is, or ever will be a Halo 3 in production) than just a random Prophet on Earth . . .
