In Response To: I agree *long* (Epyon)

The MC always
: wins on the ground, but humans have only won one battle in Space. So how
: could we survive an onslaught by 500 ships? The writers couldn't come up
: with one so they gave us a rehash of Halo:CE with play as an elite.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have won the following battles in space.

The retaking of Harvest in 2535 (I believe it was 35)
Sigma Octanus IV in July of 2552
Also read the Fall of Reach carefully around the chapters involving Sigma Octanus IV. Keyes even mention that since the reatking of Harvest we had only won 3 space battles, not including Sigma Octanus.

Also Operation First Strike could be considered a space battle that has been won as well as the battle for the first Halo, seeing as an entire Covenant armada was wiped out.

Then there was the intial win at Earth.

Making for a total of 8 wins in space and at least 100+ ground campaigns. I say 100+ because they made mention of Fred's combat record, and the Spartans always win on the ground. Plus the humans originally had many colonies, like hundreds or thousands, can't remember which. But none the less there was opportunity for Spartan wins, and a bunch of Marine wins. Even though the marines lose quite a bit which makes perfect sense in an odd way.

Not to sound like I am snapping at you, but I felt that information is necessary for you to know before you continue to assume that we have only won one space battle.
