In Response To: Re: QT woman... (Digikid) : okay maybe I was a bit harsh but c'mon. WMP or DIVX version are great too you
I don't know how QuickTime performs on PCs (I use the one in our house as little as possible), but I can tell you how WMP 9 performs on a Mac: like king-sized deep-dish crap on a stick. Granted, I'm using a slow machine, a 733 MHz G4. Despite that, I'd be inclined to think that when I move to some other point in the movie, using the progress slider bar, the movie should start playing from the point where I stopped moving the slider bar, instead of chunking up the audio feed horribly and showing a black screen until I restart the movie. And for the record, we're not talking about big movies here; that happens to me when I'm watching movies around 320 x 240. If QuickTime for Windows is worse than that, then... I don't know what I'd do, but it wouldn't be normal human behavior. -Nate | |
