In Response To: Got a question for the Bungie Halo PC Producer? (SketchFactor) : As Halo PC development draws to a close, I'm working on a larger
: If you have questions about Halo PC, the development process, features, etc..
(A bit of a regurgitation of Miguel but I feel it is important to ask) 1. Quite a bit of questioning has come from folks in my corner and other groups in the Halo community about the online "join game" interface that is currently included in the beta version. Many requests have been made to alter this interface to enable two ways of joining a game; one being the existing "instant" join and the other being a "waiting room" similar to that of Myth II's waiting room. (A place where teams could be decided, chatting amongst teams could take place, and a general sense of "ready, set, go" could happen for online tournament games.) How does Bungie/Gearbox feel about spending further development time on providing this option for its tournament and team gamers? 2. How pleased is Bungie with the end result and progress that Gearbox has made with the port? Are there any specific things about the port that they are presently surprised with? Anything they are disappointed with? 3. Gearbox has taken a very public approach while developing this game. They frequent their forums, do live interviews with Gamespy, and release Halo material to the fans frequently. Did Bungie have a hand in the constant updates coming from Gearbox or were they solely the kind acts of Gearbox? Thanks for letting us drop some input Sketch! ~dolbex
