I hope its the time between Halo and Halo2. Thats what I was hoping to get in The Flood, and was sorely disapointed.

I also hope the time frame between Halo and Halo2 is at least a couple of months. I remmeber hearing at one point that there is virtualy no time inbetween them, but I would prefer there being a bit of time there. You would need some time anyway to develop a new spartan suit, rearm the entire UNSC forces with battlerifles, and to have enough matterial for a good good book! I dont want to read another halo book without the plot being advanced any.

Come to think of it... Thats another argument for there being more spartans. Why would you develop an entirely new combat skin for one guy? No matter how much boot to ass the MC is capable of aplying, it just doesn't make sence to squander that kind of scientific recources, time, and money during wartime for one guy. Now if you had a few platoons of spartans to work with, that would be a different story..
