I couldn't have contributed anything without all you awesome movie-making folks, though. :-) : I'm really digging BitTorrent and was thinking that maybe Mythica could use : that as the preferred distribution method for new, popular, or large : filesize movies. Let everybody share in spreading the wealth (and lower : your costs). I'll probably put BitTorrent to some use, but I think it will be mostly for movies/files where we can tell beforehand that it's going to be especially popular. BitTorrent requires some (albeit fairly trivial) work on my part, which would slow down the current near-instantaneous release system where Louis uploads a movie to the box and it becomes accessible immediately. For future official trailers and things like that, though, BitTorrent would definitely be required -- the 'new' mythica won't have the bandwidth to serve hundreds of simultaneous direct HTTP downloads like it did with the H2 demo trailer.
