Sorry about that -- sometimes I use overly vague terms for this stuff. :-)
Colo is short for "colocation". You buy a server, send it to a colo company, and they connect it to their (high-speed) network. It's a lot cheaper than having a high-speed link brought to your house/office/whatever.
By "box", I mean the actual computer hardware that mythica runs on. Mythica is too big for a regular webhosting environment, and renting a server won't usually get me the kind of things I need, so I bought my own box and I colo it. :-)
