Another possibility is that the sky is dynamic, but always starts out looking the same. When they fired up the application to take the pics, it reset the sky back to the beginning. You have to wonder about the time element of this game. We've had a semi-confirmation on nightfall, right? Something to the effect of how there'd be no point in having headlights if you never got a chance to use them. So what I'm wondering is, will NPCs sleep during the night?
