In Response To: Anyone noticed this? (DirkDaring) I don't think this is bad news. We knew it was unlikely that the clouds were light-sourced volumetric fog. Something I forgot to mention is that these 2 pics do not line up perfectly. In addition to some minor distortion, the left half of both skys in the screenshot are off by about 5 pixels vertically when the right side is lined up. Try overlaying the bottom half of the screenshot at 50% transparency on the top half to see what I'm talking about. I'm not sure what this means, maybe multiple layers for the cloud texture? If that's even how it works! If these clouds are just a texture on a 'sky plane', won't they be upside down after passing overhead? | |
