I have to stress that these are just industry insider rumors right now, however I had dinner with some friends this evening, and the conversation once again turned to the rumored Pixar/Bungie deal. Apparently the script for the film and the game are being finalised at this point. The basics for the Halo game have been known for some time, and the film has been working around these basics (i.e. what the objectives are, and some of the intricacies) I have been led to understand that in fact the movie script is finished, and that work on the film has been going on for some time; it's hard to actually turn a game into a *decent* film, and so a lot has been *added* for good film action. Talk also turned to when the announcement might take place, and it was speculated that the official announcement would be in mid to late July, and it is likely that Bungie and Pixar will be making an appearance, and probably an announcement of some kind at MW New York on th 18th or 19th of July (or possibly even earlier, on Bungie Day itself (7th of July, of course!) Watch This Space™ If the game/movie combo takes off, Bungie and Pixar are apparently planning to create the prequel to Halo, again being a dual movie/game release (possibly on a hybrid DVD, but that is uncertain at this point). ---
