Halo/Pixar movie deal in the works

I was talking with a couple of colleagues in the movie industry the other day, and there are rumours abound that Pixar are currently working on an animated movie to complement the story of Halo. It will apparently follow the hero, one Mjolnir Mark IV cyborg, who is on board the Pillar of Autumn, and tracks his fight (with a nice set of BoBs as extras) against the Covenant. They are hoping to make it an action epic, along the lines of Apocalypse Now. There's even some talk of personifying Cortana...a potential love interest maybe? Pixar have reportedly been working very closely with Bungie to ensure that the film follows the storyline and ethics of the game as closely as possible, and apparently Jason Jones and Doug Zartman (the voice of BoB!) have been cast as guest voice appearances in the film, along with Ewan McGregor and Brian Blessed, who are also reportedly on the voice list. Looks like it could be interesting! Anyway, it's not known yet when the film is due to be released, but it's expected it will follow the release of Halo by a couple of months.
