In Response To: Halo maps will be like Myth maps (Bagman) The main difference is that all games so far have had limits because the engine could only go so far, which is why you have wierd areas where you can either fall off into an infinite void or stare into space or find holes in the walls or something. I expect that this decision is based mostly on storage space and level design considerations, and that when you reach the edge of a level in Halo you will be able to see beyond into into unreachable "buffer" areas, rather than a vertical wall (Myth) or empty space (most other games). |
