the evidence actually points to the two cards being nearly equal. The GTS is faster in q3, at low resolutions, but is outpaced at 1024x768x32 and higher. the v5 is faster across the board in UT. The v5 is also faster when fsaa is enabled.

overall, the 2 cards are pretty much even, and aside from price, your best reason in choosing from either would be system compatibility (i hear they still have issues with some athlon chipsets) or package design....

of course, if performance at no cost is your only concern, then wait for the v5 6000... total ownage there =D
