For what it's worth, I doubt we will see this game in the third quarter. I would love to be happily surprised, but it strikes me as unlikely, not only because we haven't seen much evolution in the game since Macworld, but also because of the awkward timing with a possible Oni release. Am I the only one who thinks that Halo can't possibly be released within a couple of months after Oni? Surely such a move would cannibalize sales. Bungie has always stressed that they release games when they are done, rather than when they are due. But what is their history (if indeed they have one) of releasing two potentially competitive products in the same time frame? --Stephen | |
