Desio, I'll for the freedom to do stupid things in games. I just hadn't heard about this tunnel digging feature. Is it going to be in the game? Mr. MacGlashan wrote about it as if it definitely is. And that was my point, Legend. Speculation is fine if you announce that that is what you're doing.

Regarding grammar (with two a's), I'm well aware that the purpose of the web is to communicate, and communicating clearly involves writing clearly. If I have a read a sentence twice to understand what someone's written, it (subconciously or not) affects my opinion of the writer's credibility. Sloppy writing is indicative of sloppy thinking. (Ask the Bungie Webmaster and I bet you get an earful on this subject.) I appreciate that this writer chronicled Bungie's long history in the gaming industry, but he's not the first to do it. I don't appreciate his careless execution. Thanks but no thanks. I know that amateur journalists can't afford editors, but a second draft should have cleared up most problems, or he's in the wrong business. I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie doesn't link to it because it reads like a 7th-grader wrote it. (Sorry JM)

The larger point I was trying to make is that most games out there suffer from a similar lack of attention to detail. And these little things add and detract immeasurably. Can you name a game that comes close to having the same high quality of WRITING as Bungie's games do? Didn't think so. Bungie is one of the few game makers who do everything well, providing humor, pathos, and a rich, compelling narrative that enhance groundbreaking (so to speak ;)) gameplay and visuals. I realize that some don't care about the solo game experience, and that's fine. But I'm sure that many feel the way I do. If I were to see the Halo film and did not know of Bungie's involvement, I would be impressed. Knowing that Bungie is involved has me extremely psyched. One only has to spend a few minutes poking around the Marathon Story site to understand why.
