I remember the main character in SHOGO did this with his TOW. After each shot, he'd whip out a new round and plop it down the tube like an old WW2 mortar. The RPG from Half-Life also needed to be reloaded like this too, the character had to sorta screw in a new round after each shot. These rockets seemed to be ejected or cold-launched first, ignited and then took off towards the laser designator. Someone mentioned a similar mechanism at work in Halo. Real recoiless rifles tend to be single shot, or in the case of the LAW rocket, a single use "throw away" tube. The Rockets fired in the screen shots and movies tended to be pointed up into the sky, which might mean they are Anti-Air. Stinger missile systems are also single shot, and are supported by a 2 man team. The team carries 6 rounds. In any case, never ever stand behind a real launcher. They all create a nasty back blast. (see True Lies for an example of how NOT to use a Stinger) Though I do wonder if Bungie might model this blast as well.
