On the topic of weapons and future technology, my 2 cents. It's difficult to say what would be appropriate weaponry for the Halo universe. Even if it is a logical extension of our universe, we still have absolutely no idea what will be discovered or created by the time we get to 2811 (or whenever… :) ). It may very well be that humankind figures out a way to shoot a slow-moving spark ball from a hand-held weapon, who knows? 800 years ago, nobody was saying, "It'll be great when we get tanks, jeeps, and guns, 'cuz then warfare will be a lot easier." We can only take (sometimes educated) guesses at what will be feasible in 800 years. Chances are, we’ll be proved wrong. ;) Also, the game is a *story*. If Bungie wants to have lightsabers, nuclear slingshots, or charged-particle nose-cannons they can, because it's their game. I love it that they have put a high priority on realism, but it’s impossible to know definitively what is realistic for the future. I don’t want to stifle creative musings and theories, but I also don’t want to see unrealistic expectations get in the way of Bungie’s plan of Global Domination. :) -Nemesis-
