The odds probably aren't that good but I mean : come on, you did it a fair bit. I tend to think of it a bit like Quantum Leap. When whatever it is that sends you back, er... sends you back, it just puts your mind into the body of the cyborg from that time peroid. When Tycho wakes us up, he thinks we're the one he pulled out of Marathon's cryo tubes. You don't think he'd notice that there were two cyborgs running around?
