yea, but they didn't invent it, they dont fully understand it, and they wern't smart enough to save thet tech they didn't understand, or even study it. And excluding that, the real way to see how dumb (in my opinion) the pfhor were is to look at how they handled durandal and the marine. They lost an entire battle group and a garrison, even they knew durandal was comming and set a trap for him. and on top of that, they lost the sp'ht as a slave race, and were eventually destroyed beceasue of one AI and one cyborg.
yea they have big ships and stuff, but its like that episonde of star trek, the next generation where they met a race that was completely stupid but had stolen advanced tech from other races. while this example is a bit extreame (the stupid race had a vocabulary of a 4 year old) i think its pretty much the same thing.
but i do agree with what you said about evil, thats its basicly just an excuse to kill your enemies.
