Could a "dried creche" be a hatched pfhor egg? I'm assuming those ovoid things in M1 were "eggs" but maybe they're not. Maybe it's an incubation "creche" made after the pfhor is born, like a caterpillar's chrysalis. Subtle difference, but there we have another comparison to insects (and they do look way too big, unless The Great Mother has a giant abdomen for laying them).
Is the Great Mother the lightning goddess Boomer was originally named for? Somehow I doubt an unremarkable scout ship would get named for a figure Tfear holds in such high prominence. Maybe The Great Mother is a higher goddess, and the "throne" is on top of Pfhor Olympus, where she gives birth to lightning goddesses and high admirals.
