In Response To: Re: Are there even timelines at all? (VikingBoyBilly) : I never considered that if Durandal's primal pattern stayed in the chip you
Indeed. But I think that if the main character has the ability to transfer data from the chips and his brain, he would be able to do it directly with the computers as well. I can't imagine any scenario where one method couldn't apply to both situations. We could chalk up the incoherence to Double Aught being sloppy, but I prefer to avoid that as much as possible. How did Durandal survive in M2 again? : He doesn't have multiple cores in two different locations that are able to
I'm not sure what you're asking. But, I'm suggesting that reality itself is different in different chapters. And yeah, I guess that would mean that certain things go back millions of years, or however long ago. Like I said in my very first post. I think one way to look at Infinity is like those "what if" issues in comics, where certain things are just arbitrarily different because the writers thought it would be interesting to do it that way. : When you lay it all out like that, it reminds me of when someone told me
: But, at the end of the day, even though Durandal did a huge number on them
What makes you think Durandal can't win without the S'pht'kr? I really don't see any way of reading Ne Cede Malis except as Durandal beating the Pfhor on his own. I mean, it's technically possible he summoned K'lia, but nothing suggests that in the level.
