First off… thanks for posting your analysis in parts. These have really made me think… which is a good thing at my age. :)

: Chapter Four: Envy

: We are shown events that seem like a continuation of the preceding Chapter 3:
: Rage 2.

We might conclude that as we get closer and closer to the successful timeline the differences between the preceding failed timelines become less and less.

This is based on the assumption that we are choosing each path and as each path deteriorates towards failure we choose another one. Each time we learn something new that helps us in the next timeline.

In reality this is like how we play each level in the game. When we die we can replay events… but each time differently based on our past experience until we reach the end… and success.

I like to think that we have to experience more that the 7 timelines we know of. Yes… 7. Before we get to the successful end.

As the final terminal of Ne Cede Malis recounts:

a line of infinite ends finite finishing
the one remains oblique and pure
