In Response To: Re: Infinity: the Story: Chapt 4 (Forrest of B.org) : I always interpreted it as the Bobs having mostly-activated Thoth, enough for
Here is where we come to another problem with interpreting infinity. All evidence we've seen before this suggest that Thoth is not capable of lucid behavior while only partially activated (M2). Chapter 2: Rage might be a counter argument to this depending on how you interpret it. But the problem here is we might not be able to use precedent for analysis either. In Infinity there are things that are just arbitrarily different across timelines. For example, the location of Thoth's(?) cores is different across M2, Chapter 1: Despair, and Chapter 4: Envy. So, while I personally would think that past evidence of Thoth not being fully functional while not fully activated would hamper this theory, there's the fact that some things are just god damn arbitrarily different in different timelines. This is why in my very first post I suggested viewing Infinity as a collection of short stories about alternate version of the universe that are only loosely connected.
