: Oh and I mean the landscape of To Sleep Perchance To Dream (the
: "spherescape").
: Also, vowels in Egyptian names are not conclusively known because hieratic
: and demotic and so on are abjads, not full alphabet with vowels, so
: Sakhmet and Sekhmet are both plausible interpretations of the same name
: SHMT. But Sakhmet is the spelling I learned in the high school mythology
: class that I got the name from when I wrote all this.
I didn't know that, but I did learn that vowels don't exist in Egyptian: I got a Middle Egyptian book for Christmas last year so I'm learning myself too. Though it mentioned to use a semi-silent "e" vowel sound in my book, but I don't know if it says the same for Sekhmet later. Thanks for letting me know.
