Actually the 2.x branch of Galacticraft has the Moon and Mars in it. There is a much older branch that included a lot of other planets, too, but I don't think it is publicly available.
We're starting off in Vanilla. After that I've made a custom pack with about 70 mods in it, based on Minecraft 1.6.4. It's not exactly Tekkit, but it has a lot of the same mods-- BuildCraft, Industrial Craft, Galacticraft (no RedPower since it hasn't been updated and may not ever be) ICBM, Mekanism, Resonant Induction, BiblioCraft, ComputerCraft, and ExtraBiomesXL (because its pretty). A bunch of others, too, and I'll be adding some as we go.
