Well it's a little known fact that Jason and Alex sold their souls to Devil to create the greatest computer game ever. The Devil handed them the Marathon source code, inked in blood and bound in human flesh. The Devil was particularly proud of the Marathon logo on the front.

Of course, when you make a contract with the Devil you should always read the fine print. Jason and Alex were given the source code for the greatest game ever… on the Macintosh platform. So they never got the fame and fortune they were looking for.
