Exactly. Every discrepancy weighs on me, big and small, but if we spend too much time chasing the small ones, the big ones will never get fixed. Chapter screens don't work. The second pistol won't fire. The Deprivation Chamber is a suicide trap (again). All of those detract a lot more from the experience than a few edge cases you'd never notice if the Story page didn't catalog them.

When we have grenade climbing again, when we can watch SuperOperaBoy kicking ass in HD, then I'll be working hard to put every last quirk back in its rightful place. But the bugs aren't what made Marathon great, and aren't why people are still fascinated almost twenty years later. If we don't restore that core feel and gameplay, it'll be shit no matter how many bugs are carefully replicated. So let's keep our eyes on the prize, 'kay?
