As Hopper states in another post you can switch off all this eye candy and play the game as close as possible to the original.
The current version of M1A1 still needs a lot more work to make it more like the original Marathon. Bruce and I didn't have the time to make all the changes. This project is now on hold. The hope is to get Aleph One to play the original Marathon files.
I call this this the Holy Grail of Marathon for obvious reasons.
It may never happen... but like Fox Mulder... I want to believe. :)
