No direct connection that I can think of. Durandals rants in Colony Ship for Sale and Habe Quiddam always reminded me a little of Kurtz, is all. Durandal states that "Escape will make me God," Kurtz want's to be worshiped as a god. Kurtz writes "exterminate them all!" in his pamphlet, Durandal tells you to "Use your capacities to kill, to maim, to destroy" (paraphrasing here.) Not to mention to the general feeling of slowly going mad, becoming drunk with power, etc.
