This post suggests they may not be; specifically the part about "an unnamed individual". So does this one, given Hamish's chummyness with Bungie back in those days, although that's more circumstantial.
Another thing: We don't actually know that Jjaro came to Earth. Ryu'Toth said they would, but he may not even have known at the time that his people/masters/creators were extinct.

Durandal knew about what the UESC found on the Moon, but as for the events of PID, no idea. The Jjaro are supposed extinct because nobody's ever found them in spite of all the relics they've left behind.

Almost certainly (since he doesn't remember dying or becoming a battleroid) and it doesn't really matter, respectively.

I see it as just one of the various hints that he's not who he thinks he is; building up to the final confirmation in M2's final screen. It might have been a more satisfying resolution if it were done in a terminal or a cutscene - maybe something like "Don't feel too bad. You never really belonged with them. / After all, you're not human." - but what's done is done.
