Nobody is saying "Marathon should only be for Macs". I think we're all happy that our favorite bit of gaming nostalgia is now available for the whole world to share.
What people are complaining about isn't "Marathon is running on things that aren't the Mac". It's "something possibly cool and Marathon-related DOESN'T run on the Mac." It's no loss that something works on Windows. It IS a loss that it DOESN'T work on Mac OS. More platforms is better, and since most (or at least, very many) of us here are Mac users, we feel kinda gyped that something cool in a historically Mac tradition is not available to us.
Like... imagine if Ford of Chevy suddenly started selling their new cars only in Japan and Europe. I don't think any Americans would complain that American cars are being sold overseas, but they would complain a LOT if the latest model of favorite brand of car, and furthermore a source of national pride, was no longer available in their nation.
