: First things first.
: I believe Durandul is formerly known as Beowulf. He went missing and was
: supposed to be on the pillar of autumn he could have escaped inside Linda
: or with Sarge or was hidding in the Longsword. Beowuld and cortonna werent
: exactly best buddies either. As for the chief and the marine. i personaly
: think that the chief is the farther of the marine and Durandul controls
: him because he was JEALOUS of cortonna's relationship with the Chief. I
: think Think that the marathon man will teleport back into his past the
: chief future to help him win the war against the prophets. I think that
: would be a cool addition. Especially with the Zeus-Class.
: The Marine can go anywhere in any reality right?
A couple of problems with that.
First, Beowulf is more or less a once-off character. He's mentioned in passing once in Fall of Reach, and that's all. There's nothing about him disappearing, or having sufficient intellect and/or motivation to do so -- he's a dumb AI, remember? In any case, there was already a second AI aboard the PoA: Wellsley, the pain-in-the-ass armchair general program.
Second, SPARTAN-IIs have no sex drive and are more or less incapable of having children. The tenth Mjolnir was alive long before John-117, anyway, so that won't fly.
