Don't listen to Goran. He's a bit self-rightious at times (and please ignore my spelling), but one hell of a mapmaker. And we all love him, just the same, and appreciate his honesty - what you see is what you get, broken English and all.
Now if you are not Neoleptimus, an absolute psycho who's forever banned from the forum, welcome. I'm Steve Levinson and while not the longest-standing member of the group, I have the distinction of being something like the 4th most prolific poster of all time. I'm also not the oldest but at 48, definitely not a kid. Ages range from the single digits to well in the 50s. You'll discover that there's a lot to Marathon and although the sequels don't have quite the same feel as the first game, the evolution of the story is something that is shared by very few games out there. And a lot of people here have created their own Marathon scenarios that are a blast to play - like Goran's.
If you haven't been there yet, go to the Lh'owon Ar'kives, where you can find all of the Marathon essentials for download. Unfortunately, the one thing you cannot do is DL the original games, and the Mac Action Sac, which contained the full trilogy, just sold out its last printing and is no longer available (you're about 2 weeks too late). You can probably pick it up on E-Bay or, if worse comes to worse, someone on the forum might be persuaded to send you a copy now that Bungie no longer sells it.
