You should care more about the opinion of THIS forum an not theirs, they don't care about Marathon, they only care about their subjetive opinion on how a remix should be done. I say ignore them. I can't give you any links now, but I've seen other sites that work with remakes of video games music. Google aand you shall find.
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. ;-)
