I'm pursuing the elseverse-esk possibility of connecting M2/Minf with the Rubicon timeline of a divorced Thoth and Durandal, as some know.

Good points throughout Forrest - an idea I believe that will be extended to other constructs interacting with one such as Thoth.
Your mention of one entity being able to "purge" the other connects to a concept that is at work within WMaiD. Since it's only Durandal's "primal pattern" that was merged into Thoth - it's apparent to me that Thoth; if unmerged; would still have operational processes functioning enough to become whole again. Durandal would be like an intelligent, if ambitious severed limb. An interesting notion of what two 1/2 Durandal patterns would create, no? : D
The process of unmerging I believed could involve a gradual polarization of the personalities - after a period of simultaneous control by both constructs over the same persona.
To my ends - I'd have Durandal eventually subjugate Thoth, at least initially. It isn’t too far of a stretch however to believe Thoth would play the part of the Subordinate in order to manipulate events into a state of Jjaro - balance. Perhaps in doing so, he would achieve his ultimate destiny... : )
