: With luck, perhpas you can find someone on e-bay selling version 7, which is 2 or 3 years old now. As a student, you save a fortune off the list price, but at $650, it's still incredibly steep.
Thanks for the info Steve.
Layer editing (in my current Adobe Photodeluxe) is limited to the gamut of "darken, lighten, overlay" etc. I believe PS LE has similar capabilities - but you can't apply effects to layers, which is still crippling if you have the full version as a frame of reference.
The price is still quite steep for PS 7 on eBay - and that is in US funds.
I recently purchased a used 2nd Gen iPod + accessories on eBay for just under $300.00 - that was pretty adventurous for me. Time, and my uncanny ability to snipe people in online auctions, will tell if I can get a full version of PS sometime.
Goran:
I find it difficult to discern which colors my work uses due to the limitations of Graphic Converter. It's a great program, but it's no Photoshop.
