In Response To: Then when models should I seek that can dual boot? (Blayne)

: Is this first gen.

My resource for Mac info since 1999:

http://www.lowendmac.com/imacs/
http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/ibook-guide.html
http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/g4-guide.html

Hmm, that's not quite good enough. The iBook guide says the 900MHz iBook requires 9.2.1 or later, yet the individual profile page for that 'Book only says "The new model may still be bootable into Mac OS 9." Then the profile page for the 14" iBook 900 says "It can boot Mac OS 9."

Maybe this is a good link: "Mac OS 9 Compatibility, Upgrades, and Resources"

Is there any particular reason you can't keep the old computer for editing, and just use the new one to transfer music, play Halo, and render 3D objects? Is it a desk space thing? You'll certainly have to do that the next time you upgrade, unless someone builds a better Classic emulator. Or maybe what you want now is the ultimate machine [?final stage] for old-school Bungie games.
