The first two G4 iMacs can boot in 9. 1st and 2nd gen. the first was made in jan 2002 and the second in July 2002. the first can have 700 Mhz or 800 Mhz and the second can have 800 Mhz. all ibooks can boot in 9 except the newest one (G4)
