Pfhor having red eyes might be very simple. It could be that they miss pigment in their eyes, and thus the blood is showing through. Wait, damn, there's something wrong about this...pfhjor got yellow blood, not red. Never mind. Sorry.
Still, if we're talking colors, colors are just different wave lengths. How pfhors' brains reads them will remain a mystery, they might do it in our way or differently, or perhaps their psychologicy works in a different way than ours. With that I mean that they could search for colors to effect them in different ways than humans do. I think, excuse my words, and sorry levinson, that the theory about them having a red filter but still trying to manage to keep our preferences for colors is crap.
That's my two drunken opinions :P
