They Drinniol apparently also hate them, according to that Pfhor who was translating Robnar's prophecies. As for the mindset of the Drinniol, it would probably be best summed up as "GRAAAAH! HULK SMASH! AAAARGGHH! [whack! whack! thwack!]" and various cowering from anything that can actually threaten them. Think of that poor ogre from the Fellowship of the Ring. He's just misunderstood.
