They're not just explosions, but fireballs. Unfortunately, you get the occasional "I love you, man!" from the Infinity sounds file - Ian should have removed that - but the effect is utterly cool. I used to say that Rubicon was the first scenario to provide consequences for not finishing a task in a specified time. I was wrong - Ian beat them to it.
