I reckon there's more potential story in Halo than first meets the eye... Why, for instance, does the Guilty Spark keep refering to the MC as "Reclaimer"? In fact, a lot of what Sparky says has flashes of Marathon in. The fact that I can't actually remember any of what he says owes a good deal to the fact that it's 20 past midnight and I've had to work all day.

But yeah, Halo was built by the Jjaro and the MC is an Incarnation of the Eternal Hero that the Marathon Security Officer was (and, given the nature of time in MI, probably still is). In fact I reckon it's only a matter of time before the MC meets the Marathon Marine going the other way ("look, a Mark IV!"). The Pfhor, in the mean time, have been embroiled in a war with the Covenant on the far side of the galaxy- "assisted" no and again by the now terminably Rampant Leela (captured rom the original Marathon and taken back to the Pfhor Homeworld for study) who seeks access to the vast repository of information in the Covenant networks.

The Australian Marine is way the funniest by the way.
