: What if Bungie released Marathon '04?
: Imagine M1 re-done using the Halo engine...

: I'm just daydreaming, again.

Man, they would have to fix the worlds worst save system first. Halo saving sucks! You have absolutely no control over your saves. Checkpoint saves, big whoop. And very importantly they would have to add a way to tell a story, something more robust and in-depth than an AI in your helmet occasionally giving you directions. Selling books on the side does not a great Sci-Fi computer game make. In-game story is vital to the Marathon experience. So with that said, YES! I would love to see Bungie continue the Marathon story in the Halo engine! Send us on a mission to save Leela who turns out to be Durandal's sister, who are both children of Tycho who is conspiring with the evil Alien Leader to crush the rebellion and rule the galaxy. OK not really but I would very much want to have Bungie continue the traditional Marathon story with the characters we have come to know and love/hate.
