: Once they're merged, you've essentially reconstituted the previously
: separated Yrro/Pthia, which is represented by the two symbols, once
: merged, looking exactly like the Jjaro symbol which is plastered all over
: the station. Thus the S'pht's story ends exactly the way it began—with
: Yrro and Pthia taking the S'pht to carve a paradise out of the void. It's
: an endless loop, like the infinity symbol which the Jjaro logo resembles.
: All this has happened before, and all this will happen again. Destiny.
It does nicely bring things full circle, but personally I'd hope that Thothandal could avoid the same tragedy/scission that befell Yrro and Pthia. XD;
wrt: human-coded AIs always going rampant--while "chronic lack of balance" could be a possibility, I figure that the apparent frequency of human-coded AIs going rampant is more because humans keep treating them like garbage. We don't know what made Traxus IV snap (assuming that he wasn't evil from the start), but of the three human AIs we interact with in-game, two went rampant from abuse (Durandal) or neglect (Tycho).
(And Rubicon is a fan scenario, but if we want to bring Lysander into this--whatever the hell the Dangi Corp. did to him made him think that wiping out humanity was his best/only option. Treat your AIs like the sentient beings they are and not like tools, folks!)
