Well, after that. You probably don't want to know, considering it ended up like Tomb Raider 6. Just that Marathon Infinity is likely the specific game in question that inspired vital parts of the story. Maybe later Metroid games were also inspired by Marathon, namely Prime but they seem to follow Halo in terms of aesthetic and System Shock 1 for execution. It's hard to think of other examples than just the first one.

Over here in the west, Marathon 1 & Infinity also inspired System Shock 2 and Bioshock Infinite; System Shock 2 for the Tau Ceti setting and you working for the rampant AI and Bioshock Infinite for it's sideways time travel, mind screws and existential ending.
