In Response To: Marathon - Ex Pluribus (PerseusSpartacus)

: ***INCOMING MESSAGE FROM PERSEUSSPARTACUS***

: Goodness, that computer really has gone insane. I'll see if Leela can do
: anything about that. Anyhow, on to the announcement.

: MARATHON - EX PLURIBUS:

: In Ex Pluribus , you will encounter many creatures, some of whom will be
: friendly, others hostile.

: Pfhor Fighter: Same as bepfhore. ;)

: Wasp: Much like their original selves, these guys are friends with nobody,
: except other Wasps. When they come at you, they come at you in hordes.
: Browns aren't really a big deal, Whites can be a bit of a nuisance, and
: Blacks can be a pain in the rear at the best of times.

: Pfhor Trooper: The same old guys we know and love, except that they've
: changed their colors. Instead of the old Green and Purple, we now have Red
: and Blue. Red can be a danger, but if you see a Blue, just go back the way
: you came, else you'll get a serious toasting.

: S'pht Compiler: Used to be the enemy, now these guys are your best friends.
: Well, at least until near the end.

: S'pht Defender: Just like old, except you briefly get a chance to fight
: them. Yikes!

: Guardian: Nobody really knows much about this race, aside from the Pfhor
: who have enslaved them. They are the enemy's equivalent of the S'pht
: Defender, with a powerful energy beam that can blow up a small area. The
: Blue ones are dangerous at the best of times, but the Purple ones have
: heat-seeking beams that can tear you limb from limb if you're not careful.
: The pure Grey ones will blow up in your face if they get the chance.
: Remember that no matter what kind of Guardian you face, they will blow up
: when they hit the ground, so stay back when they start to fall.

: Drinniol Hulk: The infamous ammo-sink has returned. However, these guys are
: faster than before, and if they berserk, they can just barely out-run you.
: One swipe of their claw on Easy is the effect of a grenade, with enough
: force to launch you off of a ledge the way a SPNKr Missile would. Even
: worse is when the Orange Hulks come into play. They can move the same
: speed as you, and can survive three times as long as you can. The worst
: part is the Brown Hulks. If you see one, running won't help. The only
: thing that can deal with a Brown Hulk is SPNKr Missiles or Flechette Ammo,
: both of which are somewhat scarce.

: Pfhor Hunter: Much like their old selves, except now they have two
: shoulder-mounted blasters. That's right, double the weapons, double the
: pain. It just gets worse once you meet the Mother of all Hunters,
: identified by its Black armor.

: Pfhor Cyborg: Same old guys we know and hate, but now with a new backstory:
: they are actual Pfhor, grafted to machines their builders did
: understand. ;)

: Pfhor Enforcer: These guys just got a new look. Doesn't Crimson look good
: on them? These guys act a lot like the ones from the original Marathon ,
: except they are more numerous and much more hostile to you. If you
: encounter some of the truly Red ones, turn tail and run away, because the
: only thing that can save you then is a well-placed Grenade or two.

: Pfhor Juggernaut: They look just like the M2 ones, except their secondary
: weapons are more like the ones they had in M1.

: Bob: Just like the M2 ones, except at the very end they are your main
: enemies. Yikes and away!

: Tiny Bob: The first time you see these guys, you'll think 'what the heck?!'
: They are the results of hideous Pfhor experimentation, and are also good
: sources of sadistic fun, due to their adorable little screams. ;)

: To combat your multitude of foes, you will need weapons.

: Revolver: The Revolver is more powerful than your old Magnum, but it is a
: little more inaccurate too. It is also completely useless against the
: Juggernaut, but then again, why would you even be using it that way? ;)

: Assault Rifle: Slightly more accurate and powerful than your old MA-75, the
: downside is that the muzzle flash will highly obscure your view as soon as
: you start firing. The Grenades are the one thing that makes this weapon
: worth keeping, as they can be used for flipping switches, blowing up
: monsters and hopping to high ledges.

: Shotgun: Ah, the almighty Shotgun. Sadly, it's larger and thus not
: dual-wieldable, but it can easily tear down weaker foes, smite larger
: ones, and the best part is that it's pump-action, so you don't even need
: to shout something to taunt your fallen enemy.

: Fusion Pistol: The usual Fusion Pistol. It can fire slightly faster than
: before, and it also can fire more shots. All in all, great for dealing
: with machine-based foes.

: SMG: With the appearance of a Thompson-MP5 hybrid and a larger clip than
: before, this thing is the terror of the Pfhor. The best part is that the
: bullets can literally go through enemies, making it excellent for
: hallways. The only enemy it is useless against is the Juggernaut.

: Flamethrower: With better power than before, the Flamethrower can be used
: for longer distances, and can also be used to 'fly' short distances even
: on normal-gravity maps. The downside is that a lot of enemies are immune
: to it, and it runs out of ammo quickly.

: Rocket Launcher: Ah, the almighty SPNKr. Capable of blowing holes the size
: of Compilers in Juggernauts, it is the perfect machine of destruction.

: Alien Weapon: A mix of the M1 and M2 versions, this can fire fairly
: accurate napalm bullets either forwards or at diagonals, turning it into a
: terror for medium-sized rooms.

: On your adventures, you shall fight your way through a Human base on Lh'owon,
: a Pfhor ship orbiting a moon, the mysterious Rozinante , a S'pht temple,
: and a Jjaro ship known as the Manus Celer Dei .

: History will never be the same.

: ***END MESSAGE***

Four things;
-The thing that made the shotgun the most satisfying is that you just could mow down enemies, if you had ammo.
-The hulks were removed because the were ammo sinks, why bring them back?
)
Other than that (heck, even with that) it sounds great!
