There's always learning game design and then trying to work for Bungie yourself. Besides I think I need to get a better understanding of all the material (Example: I have never read cthulu in my life and would not have known who Hastur was until I read about it and its connections to Marathon here) before I start hitting up the white pages for a Mr Greg Kirkpatrick. Speaking of tru7h last I checked they had a few people over at the halo storyboard that somehow think Marathon and Halo are directly connected (Instead of just being a spiritual successor of sorts)
And apparently there is a theory that Sgt. Eddings (PiD mentioned as the players name in the hint book from what I've read on the pid page) and Mjolnir Recon number 54 (Player in Marathon most likely) are one in the same. Gonna have to reread but I had a rough idea (It might be invalid if I keep thinking on it but meh I'll throw it out there). Quick question though before I expand this thought. Would it be too hard to figure out in the marathon Timeline when Humanity reached for the stars? My thought is if the Jjaro were kind enough to warn the president that the sleeping god was going to wake up real soon and informing them of the way to stop the destruction of the human race and life on earth. Well perhaps when they finally arrived like they said they would to remove our problem child they might have shared a few things. From the final Infinity Screen

The basic idea that I've been playing in my head for a while and correct me if it sounds too far fetched as it falls on alot of ifs and unexplained details. But somehow I get a feeling that theres a possibility the UESC holds the great majority of military technology in their hands. Jjaro technology or knowledge if handed over to the American goverment would have made it into the hands of the UESC and been kept a closely guarded secret even to that extent. I'm pretty sure the Phfor attack on the Marathon was the first encounter man had with another sentient species besides the Jjaro and that didn't turn out so well. Expanding on the crazy rantings of a 18 year old marathon noob would it be too far fetched to say that the 9 cyborgs were standard human bioroids. Distinguished in their deaths from the other humans by Tycho. Distinguished in her conversation with you by the AI Leela. Maybe you are more special than you think. If you are grafted to machines your builders did not understand you could have Jjaro tech as the foundation for your creation. Thats not all bioroid creation strikes me from reading it as you slap a frame (body) onto a table add a few parts (genetically engineered muscles, body tissues, organs, and some titanium grafted onto your bones for starters) and a chip inserted into the mind. But the subject is dead so how can it think? The chip is supposed to enhance the mind maybe it helps to direct it as well. Primal patterns perhaps from exceptional soldiers inserted in maybe even your own sergeant eddings kept on ice from a while back? Probably nothing but it was a interesting thought I figured I'd share and I'll think on it more and feel free to poke holes in it if you'd like if its at all viable I'd try to work it into something. If its a dead issue oh well. But I figured a few more conspiracy theories and nutty ideas couldn't hurt the place.
